Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
Norai Pty Ltd (ACN 695 995 932) ("Norai", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
We collect personal information only when it's necessary to provide our services or respond to your enquiry. This includes:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and the company you represent, when you contact us, book a scoping call, or sign an engagement.
- Engagement information — details about your business, technical environment, and project scope, shared during discovery and delivery work.
- Website usage data — basic analytics such as page visits, referring source, and approximate location, collected through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We do not collect sensitive information unless it is directly relevant to a service we are providing and you have consented to it.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange scoping calls.
- Deliver engagements you have signed with us.
- Send transactional communications about active engagements.
- Improve our website and services.
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations under Australian law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we store it
We store personal information on infrastructure we control, located in Australia, with access restricted to authorised Norai personnel. We apply technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Engagement information covered by a Mutual NDA is held under the terms of that NDA, which take precedence over this policy where they are stricter.
How long we keep it
We retain personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, tax records must be retained for seven years under Australian tax law). When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Disclosure to third parties
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers that support our operations (for example, email hosting, accounting software). We choose providers that meet appropriate security and privacy standards.
- Government and regulatory bodies where required by Australian law.
We do not disclose personal information to overseas recipients unless you have explicitly consented or it is required to provide a service you have requested.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete.
- Request that we delete information we no longer need to retain.
- Make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified through the website or, where you have an active engagement with us, by email.
